Bengals vs. Patriots Inactive List

The Bengals will play second-round pick Margus Hunt for the first time this season with Michael Johnson out. Dre Kirkpatrick, questionable entering the weekend, will also play.

With the game scheduled to deal with a constant threat of heavy rain, the Bengals (more than likely) went safe with their injured players, electing to sit cornerback Leon Hall (hamstring), offensive guard Mike Pollak (knee) and cornerback Brandon Ghee (thigh), all of whom were doubtful heading into Sunday's game.

Michael Johnson was a game-time decision and if he passed concussion protocols Sunday morning, he was expected to play. Instead, the Bengals are sitting one of their top defensive players against New England's offense. Also sitting against the Patriots are running back Rex Burkhead, wide receiver Ryan Whalen, and offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson.

Dre Kirkpatrick, who was questionable this week with a hamstring, is active, as is second-round pick Margus Hunt, making his NFL debut today. Adam Jones will replace Hall at cornerback and Wallace Gilberry will start for Michael Johnson.

As for New England, wide receiver Danny Amendola will play. Tight end Rob Gronkowsi and running back Stevan Ridley were declared out heading into Sunday. Joining them is the recently signed Austin Collin, offensive tackle Chris Barker, wide receiver Matt Slater, CB Steve Beauharnais, and safety Tavon Wilson.
