After facing the roller coaster news that A.J. Green was on the field in uniform and helmet, only to be sucker-punched about the latest update, the league informed us via sarcastic metaphor that Sunday's game will still be played. Therefore the Bengals still need to practice and prepare for the Indianapolis Colts.

For the second time in as many days, the Bengals worked out in the practice bubble at the University of Cincinnati. Eight players missed at least one practice last week with flu-like illnesses. Giving the players a break from the elements also allows them to prepare for similar conditions in Lucas Oil Stadium.

Cornerback Leon Hall, who enjoyed a veteran rest period on Wednesday, returned to work on Thursday. Andrew Whitworth is taking his veteran rest day Thursday -- as he's done all season -- and Cedric Peerman, who was under the league's concussion protocol on Wednesday, returned.

However, tight end Jermaine Gresham and wide receiver James Wright, both of whom didn't practice on Wednesday, also sat on Thursday. Gresham suffered a back injury during his fourth quarter touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. Wright has been out since week 13 with a knee.
