Well. That didn't go as planned huh? Right out of the gates the New England Patriots rose from the canvas and pummeled the Bengals. To steal a line from Dennis Green, the Patriots are what we thought they were. The Bengals didn't let them off the hook because defensively they didn't show up. The good news? It's just one game and the chances of the Bengals going 16-0 were pretty slim to begin with. However you can take solace in the fact that the Bengals are the last team to lose in the NFL this year. Historically the teams that lose last do quite well in the postseason, or in the Bengals case, make it to the postseason. On to Carolina!
On this week's show:
Scott, Anthony and I start off the show by discussing our best and worst from Sunday night's game against New England.
Though one of the best receivers, let alone players in this league, AJ Green largely avoids criticism. It seems as though he gets a free pass despite silly turnovers, poor effort when balls aren't perfectly thrown to him, etc. He's an amazing talent don't get us wrong, but he seems to get away with quite a bit without the harsh criticism, though mostly deserved, is thrown towards Dalton, Gresham, and my favorite player Brandon Tate.
John from Kentucky calls in wondering just where the heck the blitzes from the defense were at?
We look ahead to Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, the Battle of the Class of the Quarterback class of 2011, Dalton v Newton. Who will come out on top? What are your bold predictions and score predictions for Sunday's game?
