With the number ninety-four pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens have selected Missouri Southern State defensive tackle Brandon Williams. This marks the third consecutive pick the Ravens have used on their defense, which lost an inordinate number of players during the 2013 offseason. They started off by picking a safety and linebacker, and have now added a new defensive tackle to the mix. Williams is extremely strong--posting 38 reps of the bench press at the combine--and has a low center of gravity.

Williams is comparable to current Bengals defensive tackle Brandon Thompson, who is another big, powerful run defender. The Ravens already have a core group of defensive tackles, but Williams should come in and contribute on the early downs.

With the number seventy-ninth pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Oregon State wide receiver Markus Wheaton. Wheaton is an all-around receiever who also offers some return ability. The Steelers were desperate for depth at the position after losing Mike Wallace to the Dolphins earlier in free agency and nearly losing another receiver in Emmanuel Sanders to the Patriots. With Wheaton, the Steelers have seemingly re-stocked the position heading into 2013.

The move likely brings a big smile to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's face, as the Steelers will now field a trio of young receivers with Brown, Sanders, and now Wheaton. The Steelers have recently become more of a pass-first team, eschewing their ground game in favor of letting Roethlisberger air it out.

With the number sixty-eight pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns have selected San Diego State cornerback Leon McFadden. The Browns needed some depth at the cornerback spot behind Joe Haden, and McFadden should help shore up the position. In addition to playing cornerback, McFadden also offers return ability, which should help smooth the departure of pro bowler Josh Cribbs.

The Browns had a major coaching turnover following the 2012 season and now have a new defensive coordinator in Ray Horton. Horton will be bringing with him his 3-4 style defense, so the Browns' will have a brand new identity on the field in 2013. McFadden will step in and attempt to contribute in this defensive change-over from day one.

With the number sixty-one pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers have selected Alabama running back Eddie Lacy. Lacy is only the third running back taken so far in the 2013 draft, illustrating the plummeting value of the position in today's NFL.

At one point, Lacy was regarded as the number one overall back in this year's class, but a foot injury held him out of the combine and his pro day showing was highly disappointing. Even still, Lacy is a big, bruising running back, capable of carrying the load full-time for the Packers.

In recent years, the Packers have been without a premier running back, so Lacy should be a breath of fresh air in Green Bay. If his injury concerns are behind him, Lacy will step in immediately and probably eliminate the need for the Packers to re-sign former Bengal Cedric Benson.

With the number fifty-six pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens have selected Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown. Brown was another player potentially linked to the Bengals and was also thought of as a potential first rounder. Injury concerns surrounding his shoulder, however, drove him to the bottom of the second round, where the Ravens swooped in and traded up to get him. They swapped picks with the Seahawks and threw in an additional fifth and sixth pick to accomplish the move.

Brown, if healthy, is an instant upgrade for the Ravens. He is small but extremely instinctual, and has the speed and toughness to be a three-down player for Baltimore. This is the second pick the Ravens have used on defense thus far in the 2013 draft.

With the number forty-eight pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Michigan State running back Le'Veon Bell. This pick comes as no surprise after the Steelers lost running back Rashard Mendenhall earlier in free agency to the Cardinals. What is surprising, though, is which running back the team selected, as Bell had lower grades attached to him than some of the other running backs still available. Nevertheless, Bell should come in and be a day one upgrade over the Steelers' current running backs. Playing around 230-240 pounds, Bell is a thumper in the running game, but tends to do a little more dancing at the line of scrimmage than a large back should.

The Steelers have long been famed as a run-first team, but have moved to more of a passing team in recent years. The selection of Bell should help steer them back to their ground game origins.

With the number thirty-nine pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the New York Jets have selected West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith. Once regarded as the potential number one pick in the entire 2013 draft, Smith fell all the way out of the first round, watching helplessly from the green room at the Radio City Music Hall. Smith was the second quarterback taken, after E.J. Manuel, and now enters a unique situation with the Jets.

New York has a crowded roster at the quarterback position, with incumbent Mark Sanchez and the always controversial Tim Tebow manning the backup spot, so at the moment it is unclear whether or not Smith will be the starter. For now, however, he is probably just happy to have found a home in the NFL. His draft day nightmare is finally over.

With the number thirty-eight pick in the 2013 NFL draft, the San Diego Chargers have selected Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o. Initially, it was thought that Te'o would be a first-round prospect, as both the Vikings and Bears were rumored to have a lot of interest in him. After the Vikings passed on Te'o three times in the first, however, it soon became clear that he would be available at the top of the second.

The pick was originally owned by the Arizona Cardinals, but Te'o's value was too high for the Chargers to pass up. They traded up from the 45 spot to take him. Now in San Diego, Te'o will be able to begin repairing his damaged reputation as the newest member of the Chargers linebacker corps.
