It's widely believed that wide receiver A.J. Green will sit this week when the Bengals host the Tennessee Titans. With a week four bye, Green would have several weeks to recover from an injury that he suffered during practice last week. The injury is being described as a "strained ligament at the bottom of his foot, sort of between the middle of his foot and his toe" -- at least that's what NFL insider Ian Rapoport told "The Aftermath" on the NFL Network.
As he does every Wednesday with the press of the opposing team, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis spoke with the Tennessee Titans beat writers and offered a much more optimistic view on Green's injury.
#Bengals coach Marvin Lewis says he expects WR A.J. Green to be among 46 healthy bodies available Sunday vs. #Titans.

Primary translation: He'll be active on Sunday.
Secondary translation: Bull shit.
Though it's entirely possible that Green will play. The superstar wide receiver intends to take Wednesday off and see how he feels on Thursday. Heck, the way Green plays football makes us believe that he's the next evolution of our species. Maybe he will play.
"If it’s feeling good, I’m going to go. If not, we’ll take it from there," Green said via Bengals.com. "But I’m not just thinking about taking a week off just to rest it because if it’s fine, I’m going to go."
