Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive back Artrell Hawkins was arrested Sunday morning "on one count of domestic violence", according to local news sites. Hawkins is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning for an arraignment. Per WCPO:
Hawkins was arrested in an incident involving his wife, according to documents filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
According to the Hamilton County court documents, police responded to a possible domestic violence dispute at their home in Springdale, OH. Hawkins' wife told police that he had kicked the basement door in and caused her to be scared for her children's safety.
Hawkins, also a former Cincinnati Bearcat, had begun establishing himself in the radio industry on local sports talk radio as well as on Fox Sports Daybreak with Andy Furman until he departed after his last show on Nov. 14.
