The Bengals got out of Week 5 with a tough, but much-needed win and emotions are at a much better place than they have been since the onset of the season.
The discussion topics on our Facebook live session this week ranged in variety. While fans were ecstatic after beating a surprisingly solid Bills team, there were questions on some familiar issues plaguing the Bengals so far in 2017.
Here are some of the items we discussed on Sunday afternoon.
- The issues on offense continue to plague the Bengals. Whether it’s in Andy Dalton forcing throws, receivers dropping them or offensive coordinator Bill Lazor getting conservative, these were on the table for discussion.
- Cincinnati is having trouble running the football. Even though Joe Mixon scored a touchdown, a 12-yard sprint was the longest-run of the day. What do the Bengals need to do to fix the run game?
- Speaking of the offensive line issues, is the rotation Lazor is using up front the best game plan going forward?
- The Steelers and Browns lost on Sunday, helping the Bengals climb out of the AFC North cellar. A giant showdown with Pittsburgh ensues in Week 7 to really shape the division race for the rest of 2017.
