Unfortunately, the narrative between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers hasn’t changed. This battle has become a bloodbath, as evidenced by two players being carted off of the field last night and, of course, with the Bengals losing in familiar, heartbreaking fashion.
After the game, we had a live video session talking about the game and interacting with our followers. Here are some of the topics we touched on as we took to a live session on Facebook after the conclusion of the game.
- What the heck is going on with John Ross? Wouldn’t last night have been a great time to give him at least a few touches on offense?
- Giovani Bernard played like a man possessed, getting some awesome pass-blocking in, as well as running hard against a good Steelers defense.
- Cincinnati can’t close out games, win against quality opponents, nor can they win in primetime. These are all direct indictments of Marvin Lewis’ coaching prowess.
- Speaking of Lewis, he doesn’t believe in “second half adjustments”. Yet, his team was outscored 20-3 in the final two quarters on their home turf, while also giving up over 170 penalty yards all evening.
