Bengals vs. Dolphins: Andrew Whitworth and Michael Boley are out; Andrew Hawkins returns

The Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins have announced their seven players that won't play on Thursday, giving both teams the maximum 46 man game-day roster.

Most of Cincinnati's inactive list on Thursday Night Football was a foregone conclusion; though some players listed as questionable were game-time decisions.

Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga, who had suffered an MCL sprain against the Jets, and defensive tackle Devon Still, were declared out earlier this week. Vincent Rey is expected to start at middle linebacker for Maualuga. Offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, who missed the final drive in the first half against the Jet with a knee, is taking the night off and will be replaced by Anthony Collins.

Joining Maualuga, Whitworth and Still are linebacker Michael Boley, cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, center Trevor Robinson, and running back Rex Burkhead.

That means defensive end Wallace Gilberry and wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, both of whom were questionable this week, are playing. Wide receiver Andrew Hawkins and linebacker J.K. Schaffer, both of whom returned to the 53-man roster, are also active.

As for the Miami Dolphins, quarterback Pat Devlin, running back Michael Gillislee, cornerback Will Davis, offensive guards Danny Watkins and Dallas Thomas, offensive tackle Jonathan Martin and tight end Dion Sims are inactive.
