For the second time in as many days, Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth was limited during practice. Whitworth missed the regular season opener in Chicago while rehabilitating from a surgically repaired knee and another issue that required a more recent procedure. Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis metaphorically labeled Whitworth's chances as "rainy". If he's unable to go, Anthony Collins will make his second start this season at left tackle.
Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (thigh) was upgraded from limited on Thursday to full participation on Friday. There shouldn't be any worries about Burfict's chances this Monday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the other hand, cornerback Brandon Ghee (concussion) didn't practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Mike Pollak (knee) and Jeromy Miles (hamstring) were also out on Friday. Rainy, anyone?
For the Steelers, cornerback Cortez Allen (ankle) didn't practice on Friday and his chances appear grim after sitting out on Thursday also. Tight end Health Miller (knee) was also limited. Online reports believed that he could make his 2013 NFL debut against the Bengals.
