Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth is active and the anticipated starter, according to reports coming out of Paul Brown Stadium. I guess the campaign on Marvin Lewis worked. Whitworth completed his first full week of practice after missing the regular season opener against the Chicago Bears recovering from offseason surgery. It's unclear if Whitworth will play the entire game or intends to rotate with Anthony Collins, last week's starter at left tackle.
The Bengals won't dress seven players however.
Cornerback Brandon Ghee was declared out earlier this week after missing practices with a prolonged concussion. Joining Ghee is Mike Pollak (knee), running back Rex Burkhead, defensive end Margus Hunt, offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson, wide receiver Dan Sanzenbacher and tight end Orson Charles.
That means no fullback.
Tyler Eifert is expected to start as the team's H-back and second tight end. But if the team goes goalline situation or third and short, don't be surprised to see defensive tackle Domata Peko blowing up Troy Polamalu.
